Citizenship North Carolina Focus
Citizenship North Carolina Focus: A Capitol Experience (CNCF) is an extremely exciting opportunity for 4-H Youth to learn first hand about leadership and citizenship in a new way. Youth who attend CNCF are “the best of the best” in North Carolina 4-H and attendance can open up a variety of additional leadership opportunities for the future. During the 3 day conference in Raleigh, you will learn about all 3 branches of State Government, discuss how the work of government impacts you, and develop a localized action plan for your community. You will hear from a number of state official and identify opportunities for teen engagement in the political and governmental life of North Carolina. You will also have an opportunity to set up meetings and visit with the legislators that represent Warren County.
CNCF is open to all youth ages 14 and up (as of 1/1/2011) and will be held Monday-Wednesday June 13-15, 2011 in Raleigh. The cost is $150 per person, including meals and lodging during the event.
