Putting your Farmland to Work: Planning, Production, Marketing and More!!!
There are many opportunities in NC for the small, part-time farmer. To explore several options, a regional conference will be held on Friday, February 3rd entitled “Putting Your Farmland to Work: Planning, Production, Marketing & More!!” The conference will take place at the Warren County Armory Civic Center and will run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Participants will be able to attend a variety of workshops to learn about “Putting your Farm Land to Work”. The topics will include:
** Getting Started
** Vegetable Production
** Small Fruit Production
** Eggs & Poultry
** Farm Business Planning
** Food Safety for Small Farmers
All participants will receive a resource notebook that will contain information presented throughout the day. If registration and payment are received by January 25th, the cost is only $25 and includes a resource notebook, refreshments, and lunch (only $15 for additional attendees from the same farm/family). After January 25th, registration is $30 per person.
