4-H presentations are one of the most beneficial and rewarding experiences for our youth! In this program, youth will learn how to create a presentation and develop the skills needed to present it before an audience. They will also learn about the research process and what steps they need to take to organize information into a creative and interesting presentation. This opportunity allows our youth to share their passions and practice public speaking skills. Public speaking skills are important because it increases positive self-esteem, self-confidence, and the ability to accept feedback.
Youth will be able to choose from 4 different types of presentations. Those are demonstrations, illustrated talk, formal speech, and performing arts. Presentations in all categories will be held face to face at Currituck County Middle School on June 17. To participate, youth must be enrolled in 4-HOnline. Enrollment is done annually and there is no charge. To enroll go to https://v2.4honline.com/#/user/sign-in. Lastly, there will be a virtual interest meeting held on May 17. If interested in this opportunity please contact Warren County Cooperative Extension at 252-257-3640. The registration deadline for this event is May 16.
